Explain what the estimate assumes
List what is included and excluded. If a site visit, material choice, or measured area could change the cost, say so in Notes or Terms. This tool calculates a single total from your inputs; describe any uncertainty in words.
When you have confirmed the scope and want to present an offered price, compare the quote generator. The effect of any agreement depends on its wording and circumstances.
Common questions
Can I include labor and materials?
Yes. Give labor and materials separate line items with their own quantities and rates.
Can I show a price range?
The editor calculates one total. Explain a possible range or uncertainty in the Notes field rather than presenting an unsupported exact price.
Does an estimate record a payment?
No. It describes expected project cost. Use a receipt to record a payment actually received.
Keep a copy you control
