Fictional example only. Names, dates, and prices illustrate the fields; they are not market rates. No discount or tax is included.
Write scope that someone else can follow
Name the specific room, asset, or item that needs work. “Adjust the upstairs bedroom door so it closes without rubbing” gives a clearer instruction than “Fix door.” Include how unexpected work should be approved.
The total is labeled Estimated total. A work order organizes a job; it does not certify completion, record payment, or capture a signature in this tool.
Common questions
Can I include a different job address?
Yes. Use Work location for the job site even when the customer’s mailing address is different.
Can the work order be used without prices?
You can leave rates at zero and describe the scope, but the PDF will still show pricing columns and an estimated total.
Does it schedule a technician automatically?
No. The scheduled date is printed on the document. Send the order to your team and manage scheduling separately.
