Make payment easy to understand
Use the description to identify what you delivered and when. “Website maintenance — September, 3 hours” explains more than “Services.” Put payment instructions in the separate How to pay field so they are easy to find.
An invoice requests payment; it does not record that payment has been received. After payment, create a receipt using the actual paid amount.
Common questions
Can I create an invoice without signing up?
Yes. Fill in the editor and download your PDF without an account or watermark.
Will you send the invoice to my customer?
No. Download the PDF and send it yourself using your usual email or delivery method.
How do I avoid duplicate invoice numbers?
Check the suggested number against your records. Browser numbering is local to this browser, so another device may use the same sequence. See the invoice numbering guide.
Keep a copy you control
Use Save Draft to keep the document in this browser, and My Documents → Download Backup for a separate copy. Clearing site data can remove local drafts. Other browsers and devices do not automatically share your documents.
