A quote gives a customer a proposed price for a clearly described set of goods or services. Good quotes make it easy to compare the price with the scope and the time period offered.
Make it in CreateBizDocs
- Choose Quote and enter a quote number, issue date, and “Valid until” date.
- Fill in your business information and the prospective customer’s information.
- List the products or services being offered. Use separate line items when quantities, rates, or deliverables differ.
- Check any discount and tax entries. In Notes or Terms, describe what is included, what is excluded, and any conditions that matter.
- Review the total in the preview, download the PDF, and save a draft so you can update the quote if the customer requests changes.
Example
A repair shop could quote replacement parts and labor as separate items, then state how long the offered price remains valid.
Check it before sharing
Confirm that the description, quantity, price, and validity date agree with what you discussed. Avoid vague items such as “miscellaneous work.”
The site creates the document; it does not send it, collect acceptance, or determine whether a quote forms a contract.
